- PDSA provides free veterinary care for over 350,000 pets each year
- The charity funds as well as directly provides veterinary care
RSPB – the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds
- Founded over 110 years ago
- Now has over 1 million members across the globe
- Over 12,000 volunteers
- Actively manages 200 nature reserves
The Aspinall Foundation – best known for their work with gorillas
- They aim to halt the extinction of endangered animals
- The Foundation manages two animal parks in Kent
- They aim to re-introduce as many animals as possible back into the wild
The Blue Cross – a UK animal welfare charity
- Aim to improve the lives of sick and unwanted pets
- Provide veterinary treatment when owners can’t afford it
- Also take part in active campaigning on behalf of animal rights
WSPA – a global animal welfare charity
- They are working towards building a “global animal welfare movement”
- The charity was formed over 25 years ago
- Currently has 13 offices and hundreds of thousands of supporters across the world
WWF - the world’s best known animal charity
- Launched in 1961
- Now has over 5 million members
- Their mission is a simple one – the conservation of nature.
